La Mina is a working class suburb in Barcelona. It was built in a rush forgetting main services. It was so spontaneously created that in 1975 it already had 15.000 inhabitants and 2.029 homes. All of it, due to the reallocation of different groups of people, most of them having precarious social, labour, cultural and economic conditions. Today, La Mina belongs to the gipsy clans who make a living selling heroine to a big bunch of junkies.
